We are based out of south part of sri lanka,in Galle which is the home to some of the most beautiful beaches and surf breaks on the face of our planet.day by day coming local and foriegn touristsand our beaches are becoming more and more crowded. It’s an unfortunate reality that with more crowds comes more litter.

As a COMMUNITY we have the power to leave a positive and lasting impact on our city and our planet as a whole. By putting our heads and hearts together we have decided to externalize our love for our beaches. Thus, SL Volunteer organize multiple beach cleaning events every weeks to bring together our community and express gratitude for the place we call home.
We provide volunteers with meals and a fun, friendly Environment.Afterwards we get together to celebrate with parties for the whole Family of sl volunteer.It is essential for the planet that we educate the youth about the importance of a entvironment Project.These community beach cleaning events are the best way to demonstrate that message.

you have to work 2-4 hours per day.and 4 days in a week.and breakfast,lunch and dinner you are getting in volunteer house.you can decide your working time according to your choise.you are free there.

 Turtle conservation Project (3 weeks )

Would you like to engage with protection of sea turtles and get to know an exciting country?

In Galle, on the south coast of Sri Lanka, you can work on a turtle project, look after wounded turtles, and help protect the eggs until the babies hatch.

Your tasks in the turtle project

You work in all areas of the turtle station, observe the behavior of the animals, feeding them, informing visitors, being there when the babies hatch and when they are released into the sea. You can not imagine a better moment!

Preparation on site

Your stay in Sri Lanka starts with an induction day in Galle, where you will learn a lot about culture, food, language, religion and more. of the country. Here you will also meet other volunteers and get to know the partners of the sending organization. After an exciting week with many new impressions you will get to know your little protégés and start with the project

Accommodation (Volunteer House)

You live alone or in shared rooms, together with other participants. The project is within 10 minutes and also in a few minutes you are on the on the beach.
There are 3 meals a day from Monday – Friday. On the weekends there is brunch and dinner. It is a mixture of traditional and European food, mainly vegetarian dishes with rice and vegetables. Meat or fish is available every day. Breakfast consists of toast,bread, fruits,eggs,sri lankan breakfast Curry, tea and coffee.

Teach for Monks ( 3 weeks )

Auf Sri Lanka kannst du deine Freiwilligenarbeit an einer Grundschule absolvieren. Sowohl ein Pflichtpraktikum für Lehramt-Studierende als auch ein Orientierungspraktikum für jüngere Teilnehmer sind möglich. Mit diesem Praktikum sammelst du nicht nur Berufserfahrung, sondern auch interkulturelle Kenntnisse. An der sri-lankischen Schule wirst du zuerst als Assistenzlehrer unterrichten. Je größer deine Vorkenntnisse und je länger du da bleibst, desto mehr Verantwortung kannst du übernehmen. Vor Ort wirst du hauptsächlich Englisch unterrichten. Hierbei sind Eigeninitiative und kreative Ideen zur Unterrichtsgestaltung gefragt!
Du kannst deinen Reisezeitpunkt das ganze Jahr über flexibel wählen.
